Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Pay: $19-$20/hour

Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk coordinates all incoming and outgoing shipments, maintains accurate inventory records, and ensures the timely and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. This role will require you to operate a sit down and stand-up forklift.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips to ensure accuracy.
• Unload deliveries safely and transport materials to designated storage locations within the facility.
• Identify and report damaged, incorrect, or missing materials, and coordinate returns and discrepancies with suppliers and purchasing personnel.
• Prepare customer orders for shipment according to specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
• Pick, pack, label, and stage materials for shipment in an organized and efficient manner.
• Generate packing slips, bills of lading, shipping labels, and other related shipping documents.
• Schedule freight pickups with carriers and transportation providers and verify shipment accuracy prior to departure.
• Track shipments and provide status updates as needed to internal stakeholders.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory activities to support accurate inventory control.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mchenry, IL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
