The Opportunity As a Staff Accountant I within the Business Services Group, you'll work closely with experienced professionals while building the technical knowledge and practical experience necessary for long-term success in public accounting. Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation & Compliance Prepare individual tax returns and supporting workpapers Assist with corporate and partnership tax return preparation Prepare tax return extensions and related filings Organize client documentation and engagement files Ensure compliance with federal and state filing requirements Business Accounting Services Perform bookkeeping and accounting services for business clients Support nonprofit and closely held business engagements Prepare and maintain financial records Assist with accounting projects and client deliverablesupport preparation of financial statements Tax Research & Planning Conduct tax research assignments Assist with tax planning projects Analyze financial information to support client needs Learn applicable tax laws and regulations Support consulting and advisory engagements Client Service Prepare client correspondence and communications Respond professionally to client requests Develop positive client relationships Assist with gathering client information and documentation Support engagement teams throughout projects Professional Development Learn firm methodologies, systems, and best practices Develop technical accounting and tax knowledge Participate in internal and external training opportunities Build project management and communication skills Work toward professional certifications and career advancement Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance 1+ year of accounting, tax, or public accounting experience Understanding of basic accounting principles Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Who Thrives Here?
