At KOTO TERIYAKI & SUSHI, located in beautiful Sequim, WA, we’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Sushi Prep Team Member to join our kitchen team. If you love working in a fast-paced environment and have at least one year of experience, we’d love to hear from you!

As a Sushi Prep team member, you will work directly alongside our sushi chefs to help keep the sushi station running efficiently during service. Responsibilities include preparing sauces and ingredients, assisting with basic fish and sushi preparation, plating and expediting orders during busy periods, and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the work area. You will be expected to follow the direction of the sushi chefs, communicate clearly with the team, and work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Food handling experience is preferred, but a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are equally important.

We’re looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and able to stay focused in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, works well as part of a team, and is comfortable taking direction from the sushi chefs and management team. Food handling or kitchen experience is preferred, especially experience working around seafood or sushi preparation, but we also value a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Reliability, consistency, and the ability to stay organized during busy shifts are important for success in this role.
