As a Senior Overhead Transmission Line Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the continued growth of our Power Delivery practice and leading the execution of high-voltage transmission projects for utility and energy clients. This position provides significant opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and involvement in impactful utility and infrastructure projects within a collaborative, employee-owned environment.Compensation: $80,000 - $180,000Location: Maitland, FloridaEmployment Type: Direct HireIndustry: Electrical & Mechanical EngineeringWhat You'll Do:Lead overhead transmission line design and engineering from conceptual development through construction support, including preparation and review of designs, calculations, specifications, and construction packagesPrepare equipment specifications, data sheets, RFQs, technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations for transmission projectsConduct conductor selection studies, clearance evaluations, grounding studies, lightning performance analysis, and other transmission engineering calculationsApply NESC, NERC, FERC, and utility-specific design standards throughout project executionCompile information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for the design of power, process, pipeline, industrial, healthcare, airports, educational, commercial, governmental, and military facilitiesPrepare engineering reports, technical documentation, equipment specifications, and project deliverablesSupport project managers with engineering service estimates, project planning, and proposal development effortsParticipate in client meetings and provide technical consultation throughout project executionCoordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including civil, structural, substation, and project management groupsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers as project needs requireSupport field visits, site inspections, and construction-related activities as neededContribute to both project execution and client relationship development within a growing transmission practiceWhat You Bring:Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, Structural Engineering, or related discipline from an ABET-accredited programProfessional Engineer (PE) license required; ability to obtain or transfer PE licensure in Florida7+ years of overhead transmission line engineering experienceProficiency with PLS-CADD and other transmission engineering design toolsStrong understanding of transmission engineering principles, design standards (NESC, NERC, FERC), and industry best practicesExperience supporting overhead transmission line projects in utility, consulting, or EPC environmentsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to independently execute engineering work and contribute to project success with minimal oversightExperience mentoring junior engineers or serving as a technical lead on project teamsAbility to work directly with clients and project stakeholders in a professional, consultative mannerExperience supporting project proposals and engineering estimates (preferred)Familiarity with regional utility clients and transmission infrastructure programs (preferred)What's In It For You:100% Employee-Owned Company (ESOP)401(k) with Company MatchMedical, Dental & Vision InsuranceHSA & FSA OptionsShort-Term & Long-Term Disability CoverageGenerous PTO + Paid HolidaysTuition Assistance ProgramPE Licensure & Professional Certification SupportProfessional Development & Leadership TrainingEmployee Assistance & Wellness ProgramsCareer Growth OpportunitiesExposure to High-Impact Utility & Infrastructure Projects
