Job Details Department: 35104 Carolinas Medical Center - LCH: Nursing: NPCN 7P Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 36 Schedule Details Full Time, 3 12-hour night shifts per week; 7p – 7a Weekend and Holiday requirements Pay Range $38.20 - $57.30 Location The LCH 7P Neonatal Progressive Care Nursery (NPCN) is a step down unit from the NICU. NPCN cares for Level II and III babies including trachs, ostomies, pre-ops, PCVCs and PIVs, high flow nasal cannula, babies on at least 50% enteral feedings, NAS, etc. The unit is licensed for 32 beds and has the capacity to go up to 36 babies when NICU is above capacity as well. NPCN receives babies from the newborn nursery and transfers from LCH NICU as well as outlying hospitals. NPCN sees much of the same diagnoses as the NICU. Qualifications Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing At least 6 months of RN experience; not for new graduates Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire ED or critical care experience preferred Responsibilities As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
