About the Role

\n

We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on, and experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support the preparation of financial statements. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to managing financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

Daily Accounting Operations

\n

\n
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
\n
• Manage accounts receivable operations, including payment applications, account reconciliations, and outstanding balance monitoring.
\n
• Oversee client billing, invoicing, and billing adjustments to ensure accurate and timely invoice delivery.
\n
• Monitor collections activity and work with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and outstanding client balances.
\n
• Oversee cash receipts, payment processing, and daily cash activity.
\n
• Manage or coordinate banking activities, including bank account reconciliations, cash transfers, deposits, and transaction monitoring.
\n
• Monitor cash balances and assist with short-term cash flow forecasting.
\n
• Review and reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
\n
• Ensure accurate recording of journal entries, accruals, and other accounting transactions.
\n
• Oversee accounts payable activities and ensure vendor invoices and payments are processed accurately and timely.
\n
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving client accounts, payments, invoices, and financial records.
\n
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and support accurate recordkeeping.
\n

Financial Reporting & Accounting Oversight

\n

\n
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
\n
• Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
\n
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and established accounting policies and procedures.
\n
• Monitor general ledger activity and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting processes, and internal controls.
\n
• Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and cash flow reporting as needed.
\n

Accounting Leadership & Collaboration

\n

\n
• Establish priorities and ensure daily accounting deadlines are met.
\n
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting issues and improve operational efficiency.
\n
• Develop and maintain accounting procedures and best practices.
\n
• Support senior management with special projects and other accounting-related initiatives.
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
\n
• 10+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
\n
• Minimum of 3+ years as a hands-on accounting manager or supervisor.
\n
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
\n
• Experience with general ledger systems, financial reporting, and month-end close.
\n
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
\n
• Experience with NetSuite highly preferred.
\n
