About the Position

Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: Exception: MRI Tech Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Weekend Overnight Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Two (2) Years’ Experience License: NYS Rad Tech License (must be willing to obtain after starting) Certifications: Certification through the ARRT, BLS (American Heart Association ONLY), Injection Certification Must-Have: GE Scanner Experience, Level 1 Trauma Center Experience Description: We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. You must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is preferred. Our ideal candidate knows how to operate the MRI machine efficiently. You must be able to make patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure. You will coordinate with the patient's physician to ensure timely receipt of results. Familiarity with medical terminology is required. You must be able to stand for extended periods. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information. Perform patient care tasks as needed.
