Program Manager – Aerospace Manufacturing
C&F Tool & Die Co. is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Program Manager to join our fast-paced aerospace manufacturing team. The Program Manager will serve as a key point of contact between C&F Tool & Die and our customers, ensuring clear communication, accurate order processing, and on-time delivery.
We are primarily an aerospace parts manufacturer specializing in build-to-print machining . Our diverse production environment includes CNC lathes with live tooling, as well as 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling machines. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and able to communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process customer purchase orders to ensure requirements are clearly understood and accurately communicated to planning and production.
- Release customer orders to the planning department and monitor progress to support on-time delivery.
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers and C&F Tool & Die regarding specifications, delivery schedules, order status, and other program-related issues.
- Review customer purchase orders, drawings, specifications, travelers, and related documentation to identify requirements and potential issues.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status, changes, questions, and delivery commitments.
- Participate in weekly production/status meetings and provide updates on customer requirements and program priorities.
- Assist with the quoting and bidding process as requested.
- Assist with training and provide guidance to employees in the use of E2 manufacturing software and related processes.
- Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of AS9100 quality management system requirements.
- Work closely with production, planning, quality, and management to identify and resolve issues that could affect quality, cost, or delivery.
- Promote quality and customer satisfaction throughout all areas of the manufacturing process.
- Identify opportunities to improve communication, workflow, documentation, and overall customer service.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Education / Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; or
- Three or more years of relevant manufacturing, aerospace, customer service, production coordination, or program management experience.
Required Skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Basic office and administrative skills.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel .
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, travelers, specifications, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers and internal personnel.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and customer requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing or CNC machining .
- Previous experience with an ERP/MRP system; E2 experience is a strong plus .
- Familiarity with AS9100 or other aerospace quality-management standards.
- Experience with customer purchase orders, production scheduling, quoting, or program coordination.
- Knowledge of CNC machining processes, including turning and 3-, 4-, or 5-axis milling.
- Previous experience working in a build-to-print manufacturing environment.
