Polysomnographic Technologist

Job Summary: The CT Scan Technologist performs advanced computed tomography procedures to produce detailed sectional and three-dimensional images for diagnostic interpretation. They assist with interventional and therapeutic CT-related procedures, ensuring patient safety and data accuracy. Responsibilities: Execute complex CT imaging procedures utilizing advanced equipment and techniques. Review and verify patient clinical history, contrast questionnaires, and prescriptions to ensure procedural appropriateness. Administer contrast media as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and reacting to any adverse reactions. Prepare patients for scans by positioning, shielding, and immobilization, while providing clear instructions and addressing patient concerns. Analyze images within PACS to ensure proper identification, diagnostic quality, and completeness. Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to clarify prescriptions and share outside imaging studies for accurate diagnosis. Qualifications: Possess a graduate degree from a Radiologic Technologist program and high school diploma or equivalent. Hold a NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License and ARRT (R.T.(R))) certification. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiological positioning, and CT hardware/software. Maintain CEU credits and achieve ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months of hire.
