PREP COOK (FULL AND PART TIME)

We are hiring immediately for full- and part-time PREP COOK positions at Nova Southwestern University (3301 College Ave, Davie, FL 33314). Open availability; shifts may vary. Nights and weekends required. At least one year of experience in a prep cook or cook position is required. Pay range: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef. Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes. Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets; taste completed meals to ensure quality. Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use. Store, label, and date all food items according to policy; follow HACCP guidelines. Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs as required. Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures. Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation time. Serve customers efficiently and friendly manner. Complete orders from steam tables and grills and serve customers at multiple stations. Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control. Resolve customer concerns. Perform other duties as assigned.
