Must renew registration with KBOP on day one if lapsed and must keep registration in good standing and renew annually.Physical Requirements: May include standing, sitting, or walking for greater than 5 hours at a time. May require the ability to reach items above or below shoulder level and be able to lift up to 30 pounds.Shift: Typical shifts may be assigned to work during operating hours of Monday-Friday (7:00am-9pm), Saturday and/or Sunday shifts per location operating hours. May work in our 24/7 operation if shifts are open and employee prefers to work during the overnight hours. Late afternoon/early evening and night hours typically are not scheduled past 9pm. Operating hours and days of operation are subject to change based on location of assignment. May be required to work on some holidays which currently are being rotated by all Ambulatory Pharmacy Services staff. Available shift hours and location varies based on needs of the department. Must participate in some weekend shifts and prefer candidates to be available year round including having some availability during campus breaks. Locations of some retail pharmacies are off-campus in Lexington and Richmond, KY so must be able to commute to sites if selected for these areas. Locations and typical shifts will be reviewed during interview.Job Summary: Assists pharmacists in medicine preparation and distribution in a UK HealthCare Retail Pharmacy. Fills prescriptions in a busy retail based setting. May include standing for greater than 5 hours at a time. Must be reliable and punctual. This position also requires teamwork, excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
