Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a part-time physical therapist supporting students’ growth and mobility needs. This flexible position, based near High Point, NC, is ideal for professionals passionate about helping children reach their full potential in an educational setting.
As a valued physical therapy provider, you’ll deliver expert care for approximately 10 hours per month. Typically, you'll be on-site five times each month for two-hour sessions, although schedules can adjust based on your assessment of student needs. Your expertise will empower young learners to access their curriculum and school activities more fully.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Physical Therapist license in North Carolina
- Previous experience with pediatric or school-based therapy preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with staff and families
- Ability to independently assess, develop, and implement therapy plans
- Flexibility and organization to manage a part-time, variable schedule
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ physical therapy needs within the school environment
- Develop individualized treatment plans to enhance mobility, motor function, and participation
- Provide direct therapy in accordance with student goals and IEP requirements
- Document progress and communicate updates to educational teams and families
- Adjust frequency and duration of therapy sessions based on professional assessment
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to optimize student outcomes
