Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Greensboro, North Carolina.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Labor and Delivery\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a fast-paced unit caring for high-acuity laboring patients, requiring Epic experience and NC/compact RN licensure.Details\n \n 18-bed Labor & Delivery unit\n Cares for high-acuity laboring patients\n 3x12 Day shift schedule, 7:00am-7:30pm\n Every other weekend required\n Holiday scheduling as needed\n Floating required to MAU, MBU, and OBSC, and potentially any Cone Health campus\n Uses Epic EMR\n Utilizes Triton and SurgiCount systems\n Requirements\n \n Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration\n BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required\n AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred\n Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience required\n Epic EMR experience required\n Skilled in fetal monitoring, including external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC placement\n Experience with labor and delivery management including vaginal deliveries, C-section circulation/recovery, and high-risk delivery assistance\n Experience administering medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Prostaglandins\n Skilled in neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and neonatal resuscitation\n Experience caring for patients with conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, HELLP syndrome, and VBAC management\n Current driver's license required to verify address\n Additional Information\n \n Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum management\n Support high-risk obstetric cases including multiple gestation and malpresentation deliveries\n Assist with surgical procedures such as cervical cerclage, D&C, and tubal ligation\n All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding, with up to two attempts allowed\n Non-billable orientation modules average 2-4 hours and vary by unit\n First-time travelers are welcome to apply\n Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted\n RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission time off requests accepted\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-755465.
