Psychiatric LPN Opportunity

Shift: Night (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings preferred License: Active and unrestricted LPN license in state of practice Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Strong clinical skills, effective communication, ability to manage behavioral health patients, and experience with medication administration and patient monitoring.

Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide direct and supportive care to patients in a psychiatric or behavioral health environment. The nurse will assist in implementing individualized care plans under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient responses, and documenting all aspects of care accurately. The nurse will observe, record, and report patient behavior, symptoms, and progress to the appropriate clinical team members. The role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to maintain a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment for all patients. The nurse will assist in crisis intervention and utilize de-escalation techniques as needed to promote safety and stability. Patient and family education on medication adherence, coping strategies, and mental health awareness will be part of daily duties. The ideal candidate demonstrates empathy, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm and focused in challenging situations.
