• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (Telemetry) - Night Shift
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550 - $1,630
• Location: Tyler, TX 75701 (East Texas)
• Unit: 5 North - Telemetry (36 private rooms)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 - August 3, 2026)
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Telemetry RN

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience (cardiac telemetry)
• Travel nursing experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (Epic charting system)
• Must not reside in the following counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, Morris

Key Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry monitoring and direct nursing care for cardiac patients recovering from procedures such as cardiac surgery, coronary artery stenting, and pacemaker implantation
• Care for hemodynamically stable, non-procedural cardiac patients on a telemetry unit
• Manage cardiac telemetry systems and interpret dysrhythmias; participate in rapid response and code situations
• Administer and manage arterial lines, central lines, and vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Perform IV management, feeding tube care, tracheostomy care, and wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services to coordinate patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic charting system
