Electrical Project Engineer

Overview Our client is a leading industrial electrical contractor delivering complex electrical infrastructure projects across Northern California. With a strong pipeline of work spanning industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, data centers, water and wastewater treatment plants, and other mission-critical infrastructure, they are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents on technically challenging projects while developing your career with a contractor that invests in its people. Responsibilities Support the successful delivery of industrial electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Assist Project Managers with scheduling, procurement, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Review electrical drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders. Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure projects remain on schedule. Track material procurement and equipment deliveries. Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate documentation. Assist with project planning, commissioning activities, and turnover documentation. Monitor project progress and help identify solutions to technical and construction challenges. Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Preferred Experience 2–6+ years of experience as a Project Engineer on electrical construction projects. Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, water/wastewater, semiconductor, energy, or data center projects. Understanding of electrical power distribution systems. Experience with switchgear, switchboards, transformers, generators, MCCs, bus duct, underground electrical systems, or medium-voltage installations is highly desirable. Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and technical documents. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
