Position: Dispatcher - Wheelchair Services
Location: Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), Cleveland, OH
Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour
Shift: 4:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 4 days per week

Huntleigh USA Corporation is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Dispatcher to support our Wheelchair Services operation at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE). This role is responsible for coordinating wheelchair assistance requests, dispatching attendants, maintaining communication with airline personnel, and ensuring passengers receive timely and professional service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch wheelchair attendants to designated airport locations.
• Coordinate assignments and service requests to ensure timely passenger assistance.
• Maintain regular communication with airline personnel and wheelchair attendants via radio and telephone.
• Answer incoming calls and respond promptly to service requests.
• Monitor passenger pick-up and drop-off times in accordance with airline schedules.
• Issue radios and operational equipment to staff at the start of each shift.
• Complete, maintain, and file daily logs, wheelchair push records, and other required documentation.
• Provide directions and operational support to wheelchair attendants as needed.
• Support positive passenger relations by ensuring quality customer service.
• Provide additional administrative and operational support as assigned.
• Comply with all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations and airport security requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with passengers, airline personnel, and team members.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening (DOT or Non-DOT, as applicable) and comply with random testing requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, and/or hold up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to push, pull, squat, stoop, bend, and reach as required during the course of the workday.
