Compensation

• Hourly Pay $35.60 per hour.
• Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
• Typical work week is 40-45 hours per week

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday, schedule may vary as needed.
• Work 11:00am-8:00pm; work until work is completed. Typically 10-12 hours per day.
• Schedule flexibility may be available based on candidate's needs.
• Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as-needed maintenance of diesel trucks and electronic vehicles
• Properly operate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventory
• Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals
• Travel to locations to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with management, providing them with detailed breakdowns of service requirements and costs.
• Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairs
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer's specifications according to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations)
• Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform road tests, mentor junior mechanics, etc.

Requirements

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Minimum 3 years of previous technical experience with Class 8 Commercial Tractors and Trailers.
• Air Brake Systems certification.
• ASE, Macs or Military AC certification.
• ASE Electrical certification.
• ASE Heavy Duty certification.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot repairs using diagnostic systems.
• Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, hydraulic, and suspension systems as well as general mechanical operation and/or light body repair
• Familiar with FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), and FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), BIT (Basic Inspection of Terminals) inspections
• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Candidate must provide his/her own tools.
• Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) required with no suspensions and/or revocations in the last (3) years.
