Job Summary:
Pediatric Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position located in New Britain, Connecticut. This role involves providing care for pediatric patients with chronic complex conditions, including those with trachs, vents, and G-tubes. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers an opportunity to work in a step-down pediatric unit with a patient population ranging from 2 months to 18 years old.

Job Details:

• Location: New Britain, Connecticut
• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0
• Required Qualifications: Current RN license in Connecticut, 2 years of RN experience, prior travel experience preferred, experience with respiratory/vented patients strongly preferred, and knowledge of IVs, G-tubes, trachs, vents, and infusions.
• Schedule: Days, 12 hours shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Float: No
• Additional Information: Nurses do not manage ventilators; respiratory therapists handle vents, but nurses will assist with suctioning. The unit has 28 beds, with protocols including IV administration, G-tubes, trachs, vents, and infusions. Profiles must be clear and easy to follow, with experience with respiratory/vented treatments noted if applicable.
