SPECIAL EVENTS AIDE

Job Summary This role provides operational, administrative, and technical support for facility rentals, special events, and departmental activities. Responsibilities include assisting with facility operations, event planning and execution, office duties, and departmental systems and recordkeeping. **This role demands flexible scheduling, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays, with varying shifts based on operational needs.** Job Responsibilities Facility Rentals: Open, secure, and inspect facilities for rentals; assist with setup and renter inquiries. Cleaning & Maintenance: Clean and reset facilities following events; report major issues promptly. Special Events Support: Assist the Special Events Planner with event logistics, setup, and breakdown; handle vendor and participant needs. Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance, manage documents, and maintain records. System Maintenance: Support departmental systems, data entry, and basic troubleshooting. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

One (1) year of experience in event and/or recreation activities. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid Florida driver’s license required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient in essential computer applications and office software. Excellent organizational and communication abilities. Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within teams. Strong written and oral communications and relational skills. Attention to detail Reliability and punctuality are consistently maintained. Professional conduct is exhibited in interactions. Adherence to policies and safety requirements Displays flexibility and a willingness to assist when necessary. Additional Information

PHYSICAL STANDARDS:

This position involves indoor and outdoor work under varying weather conditions.
