At Wolverine Human Services, we help children and families move toward safety, stability, and permanency. As a Foster Care Supervisor, you guide and support Case Managers in delivering high-quality services that directly affect outcomes for children in care.This role is both leadership-focused and hands-on. You will coach staff, support decision-making, and ensure compliance while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners.This role includes:Supervising and supporting Foster Care Case ManagersEnsuring compliance with licensing, contractual, and agency standardsProviding guidance on case planning, assessments, and service deliverySupporting permanency planning efforts across assigned casesCoaching staff through complex cases and ethical decision-makingReviewing documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and complianceParticipating in quality assurance and corrective action planningSupporting staff training, onboarding, and professional developmentCollaborating with DHHS, courts, and community partnersResponding to urgent or after-hours needs as requiredWhat Success Looks Like:Supporting staff to meet or exceed performance and compliance standardsEnsuring accurate, timely, and complete documentationMaintaining ethical standards and confidentialityActing as a mandated reporter under Michigan lawProviding regular feedback and completing performance evaluationsPromoting a positive, inclusive, and professional team environmentParticipating in required training and quality assurance activitiesBeing available to respond to urgent needs on a 24-hour basis, as requiredLeadership Impact:Builds a culture of accountability, learning, and supportHelps staff navigate complex cases with confidenceDrives better outcomes for children and families through strong supervisionRepresents Wolverine Human Services in a positive and professional mannerWhat You Need to Apply – Minimum Qualifications:You qualify if you have:Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Behavioral Sciences field preferredMust meet Michigan licensing and contractual experience requirements for a supervisory rolePrior experience in foster care or child welfare requiredDemonstrated leadership, coaching, or supervisory experience preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesAbility to maintain confidentiality and professional boundariesValid Michigan Driver’s License (if required for the role)Why Join Us:You won’t just have a job—you’ll lead meaningful change.
