Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Tribal Police Chief, incumbent will coordinate preparation and maintenance of the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony emergency mitigation response planning, training, recovery, and emergency plan implementations.Duties and Responsibilities:The incumbent will coordinate the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony Local Emergency Planning Committee (RSICLEPC). The LEPC will work with the appointed members to develop by-laws and completion of work plan objectives, training, exercise and review of RSIC emergency operations plans. The incumbent will act as liaison with other local county, city, and, state committees to coordinate plans. Develop Tribal Emergency Response Committee TERC.Prepare and administers annual budgets for Emergency Management program, research and identify alternate funding sources to expand the program.Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for Emergency Management program and CERT Program.Conducts periodic emergency response exercises and training consistent with the emergency response plans. Responds and coordinates appropriate staff during major disasters on the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony.Responsible for Emergency Operations Center activation, operations and demobilization.Prepares and implements training plan, develops exercises to ensure plans meet requirements for Emergency Management program and Hungry Valley Fire. Tribal Police and all other tribal programs active in an emergency in annual trainings. Supervises RSIC Tribal CERT Teams providing technical.Assistance and equipment. Must be Familiar with the Incident Command System, possess at least ICS 100c, 200c, NIMS 700 and be willing to expand Incident Command System Training certifications must obtain HSEEP as part of credentialing within a reasonable amount of time.Identifies and inventories all potential sources of hazardous material emergencies and prepares plans in order to manage these potential sources. Must collaborate with local, regional, state, federal agencies, other RSIC emergency response personnelWorks with emergency response consultants in assessing and monitoring all emergency response conditions, needs, and issues of the RSIC. Responsible for managing, implementing and reporting to grant project officers in order to ensure timely completion of applications, tasks, and grant requirements.Meets with the RSIC communities to gain input on emergency response preparedness; works closely with national, state, regional, local, and citizens' boards and committees, as well as public and private officials in order to provide technical assistance, directly or indirectly through other Colony resources.Develops and maintains emergency response plans, through a series of meetings, as needed, with local, regional, state, federal agencies, other RSIC emergency response personnel, and the public. Collects data and/or other information as required for emergency response planning. Maintain safety equipment ie: AED, first aid kits etc. Must compile injury reports that occur in the RSIC workplace.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent.Must have current CPR basic certification and be a CPR certified instructor or be able to obtain instructor certification within a reasonable amount of time.2 Years' experience in Emergency Planning, and knowledge of program administration, principles and practices, and managerial experience including program proposal preparation, budgeting, and funding application, preferably in tribal setting.Ability to supervise, monitor, and evaluate emergency response projects for the RSIC.Ability to work positively under team concept with employees and community.Strong communication skills: both orally and written.Ability to develop and provide training to RSIC staff, LEPC, and community on emergency-related topics.Must have a valid Nevada Driver's License. Must qualify under RSIC motor vehicle insurance carrier
