The Role

We're looking for an experienced medical billing leader to help our customers with quick, efficient, and reliable medical billing. You know the billing process inside and out, and you enjoy fixing what's broken, coaching billing teams, and finding smarter ways to get claims paid the first time.In this role, you'll work closely with our billing, customer success, and product teams.

Part of the job is hands-on billing expertise; the other part is helping shape how billing works inside our software so that good practices become automatic for every practice we serve.

What You'll Do

• Keep a close eye on how our customers' billing is performing — how quickly claims get paid, how often they're denied, and where money is getting stuck
• Improve the day-to-day billing process, from verifying patient insurance to submitting claims, posting payments, and handling denials and appeals
• Work with billing teams, customer success, and product to keep everyone aligned and report results to leadership
• Help our product and engineering teams build smarter billing tools, including AI features that catch errors and predict denials before they happen
• Guide insurance enrollment and credentialing for new and existing practices
• Build clear reports and dashboards that show how billing is performing by practice, specialty, and insurer
• Set coding and documentation standards and run periodic audits to keep billing accurate and compliant
• Lead efforts to recover denied and underpaid claims, and prevent those problems from recurring
• Help onboard new practices — setting up their billing, insurers, and workflows, and training their staff
• Help keep billing practices compliant with healthcare regulations like HIPAA and the No Surprises Act

What You'll Bring

Required

• Around 3+ years in medical billing or revenue cycle, including some experience leading a team — or a longer track record in high-volume billing
• Strong understanding of how outpatient billing works from start to finish
• Confidence working with billing data and reports, and the ability to dig into numbers without waiting on an analyst
• A track record of measurably improving billing results — faster payments, fewer denials, or better collections
• Clear communicator who can coach a biller, talk to a physician, and work with a product team in the same day

Strongly Preferred

• A billing or coding certification (such as CPC, CPB, CRCR, or CHFP)
• Experience supporting multiple practices or locations at once
• Familiarity with common billing clearinghouses and insurer portals
• Experience working with software or product teams at a healthcare or health-tech company

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-assisted billing tools
