Electrical Technician

POSITION SUMMARY: Our client is- seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems, PLC-controlled equipment, motors, drives, and automated production machinery. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, self-motivated, and committed to maximizing equipment reliability while minimizing downtime. 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Install, wire, and upgrade industrial electrical systems and automated controls. Troubleshoot and program PLC systems, including Allen-Bradley 500 and 5000 platforms. Install, maintain, and repair AC/DC drives, motors, control panels, relays, and electrical components. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability. Conduct root‑cause failure analysis and implement corrective actions. Maintain electrical spare parts inventory and communicate replenishment needs. Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), OSHA, and company safety procedures. Communicate equipment status and repair progress during shift changes. Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts safely when required. Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve equipment performance. Respond to emergency equipment failures and support planned shutdowns as needed. Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and repair records. QUALIFICATIONS: Industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and programming. Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and AC/DC drive systems Ability to troubleshoot electrical motors, control circuits, sensors, relays, VFDs, and industrial automation systems. Proficient in reading electrical schematics and technical drawings. Experience performing root cause analysis and preventative maintenance. Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures and industrial safety standards. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the shift. Comfortable working in hot manufacturing environments. Ability to work at heights using ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts while utilizing required fall protection. Ability to work mandatory overtime, weekends, and respond to emergency call‑ins as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
