Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist (Louisiana Licensed)We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and compassionate Louisiana Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and sensory-based disorders, helping them achieve greater independence and participation in daily life activities.Position Responsibilities:Review patients' medical histories and assess their functional abilities, limitations, and needs.Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives.Confer and collaborate with physicians, families, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated care.Provide skilled therapeutic interventions to address fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, sensory processing, ADLs, and functional mobility.Guide and instruct patients in performing therapeutic tasks and exercises to improve daily functioning.Educate families and caregivers on home programming, positioning strategies, and carryover techniques.Recommend, fit, and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment (e.g., feeding aids, splints, mobility devices).Monitor patient progress, update treatment plans as needed, and prepare required documentation for physicians, payors, and insurance agencies.Maintain documentation in compliance with Louisiana licensure regulations, Medicaid, and insurance requirements.Qualifications:Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.Current, active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Louisiana.CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).Pediatric experience preferred (if applicable to your setting).Strong communication, organizational, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.Employment Options:Full-time.Part-time.Contract.Compensation: $40–$65 per hour, depending on experience and employment status (FT/PT/PRN/Contract).
