Be the maintenance expert who keeps production moving and helps your team work safely, consistently, and at a high standard. In this role, you’ll troubleshoot advanced mechanical and electrical systems, strengthen asset reliability, and mentor technicians to follow best practices. You’ll also ensure every maintenance activity supports critical food-safety requirements (GMP, HACCP, SQF), while contributing to maintenance planning, accurate documentation, and continuous improvement that drives long-term operational performance.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and perform preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance (CBM) on production and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, guiding others through systematic fault isolation and root cause analysis.
• Perform precision maintenance, including laser alignment, torque-to-spec, balancing, and lubrication best practices.
• Use CMMS to plan and close work orders with accurate labor, parts, and failure codes, improving job plans and BOMs over time.
• Support food safety and sanitation requirements, including GMP, allergen control, hygienic design, and coordination for CIP/COP activities—while protecting CCPs/Preventive Controls during maintenance.
• Partner with Production, QA, and Sanitation during downtime events, communicating equipment status and corrective actions.
• Mentor technicians by reinforcing safety, quality, and documentation standards; coordinate contractors when needed.
• Contribute to TPM/RCM/CI initiatives to reduce chronic losses and improve MTBF/MTTR, optimizing PM/CBM routes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food/beverage/CPG preferred).
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to read prints and schematics.
• Experience with VFDs, sensors, conveyors, pumps, pneumatics/hydraulics, and basic PLC fault-finding (I/O and alarms—no programming required).
• Solid CMMS experience and a commitment to high-quality work order documentation.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF/BRCGS, allergen control, and sanitary design basics.
• Safety-first mindset: LOTO, PPE, and leading risk assessments.

Nice to Have

• Technical degree, trade certification, or advanced training (e.g., mechatronics or industrial maintenance).
• Predictive technologies experience (e.g., vibration, thermography, ultrasound, oil analysis).
• Experience with CIP systems, steam/boiler components, compressed air, or refrigeration.
• OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E awareness, forklift/aerial lift certifications, welding/fabrication experience.
