Make a meaningful impact in students’ lives by supporting their educational and developmental goals as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant on a contract assignment from November through March. Located in a vibrant community near Penn Valley, this part-time opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about pediatric therapy and school-based practice.
Step into a collaborative environment with teachers, therapists, and families, working two days per week with flexibility in scheduling to fit your current commitments.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Proficiency in implementing occupational therapy programs designed by an OT
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, educators, and families
- Ability to manage caseload paperwork and meet deadlines efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Assist students in developing, improving, and maintaining functional skills for academic performance and daily living
- Carry out occupational therapy interventions and activities under the supervision of a licensed OT
- Document progress and communicate updates to the OT, teachers, and families
- Modify or adapt activities and environments to support students’ individual needs in the school setting
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment
