Principal AI Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and ship internal knowledge systems, decision-making surfaces, dashboards, catalogs, and agent-builder user interfaces.
• Understand company-wide data flows and design experiences that expose the appropriate information to each audience.
• Create the surfaces and patterns for teams to compose, register, discover, and govern internal agents.
• Prioritize, sequence, and deliver a portfolio of small internal products based on organizational leverage.
• Decide collaboratively when capabilities should be centralized in the platform versus owned by individual teams.
• Partner with the Builder — Technical Infrastructure on the platform spine and experience layer.
• Sketch, build, and merge production code without a design-to-engineering handoff.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to combine strong design judgment with production engineering and independently ship code.
• Strong experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui or equivalent frontend technologies.
• Experience using agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
• Strong product instincts, including prioritizing ambiguous internal requests and managing multiple small products.
• Ability to make thoughtful UI decisions involving spacing, motion, information density, and overall interaction quality.
• Systems-thinking approach to data architecture, centralization, decentralization, and information access.
• Ability to present work and explain decisions to engineers, executives, and customers.
• AWS familiarity, particularly with Cognito, Bedrock, and CDK, is preferred.
