Industrial Blending and Packaging Technician

Location: Schenectady, NY (USA) | Sign-on Bonus: $2,000

Role snapshot

• Operate across production areas to prepare, blend, package, sample, and store nutritional premixes.
• Handle and move dry pre-mix powders (up to 55 lbs) from storage to dispensary; weigh per batch formula; add to mixers and load blenders.
• Perform in-process and final inspections; collect samples for analytical testing; complete final packaging and palletizing.
• Adhere to the 4-eye principle guideline and all safety/quality procedures.
• Work independently; monitor equipment; document exceptions/deviations and corrective actions; communicate issues to Supervisor.

Schedule and compensation

• $21.00/hour base pay
• Shift differentials: +$0.50/hour (2nd shift) and +$1.75/hour (3rd shift)
• 2nd shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM EST
• 3rd shift: Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM EST

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write in English and perform basic math.
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and basic computer skills.
• Lift/push/pull up to 55 lbs throughout the shift.
• Manufacturing experience (1+ year) preferred.
• FDA-driven requirements: no facial hair or artificial nails; must wear PPE, including a respirator, consistently for the entire shift.

Within our Health, Nutrition & Care (HNC) North America Business Unit, three premix plants produce liquids and dry blends for dietary supplements, infant formula premixes, and food. Our Schenectady site is the largest and a regional and global performance hub.
