Program Manager - Test Engineering

Program Manager – Test Engineering We are currently looking for an Engineer in the Test Management Group to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI. This role will be responsible for the vehicle test management and leading the project management for the associated program. This engineer will work closely with several functions including Test Design Engineering, Vehicle Program Management, Vehicle Project Development Manager, Prototype Engineering, and Manufacturing to plan manage the overall vehicle development test plan and assets in accordance with Nissan’s development process to achieve program milestone metrics/KPI and launch success. Job functions include:Program Management and Planning: Proactively direct test-engineering teams to execute vehicle development test plans, to achieve program launch timeline.Track and report progress milestone achievement via weekly reports and progress milestone meetings.Develop detailed project test schedules and manage critical path for the product line.Monitor metrics, identify key issues and bring issues forward to management.Be the liaison between Test engineering and Vehicle Program Management and various non-R&D functions. Ensure project testing stays on schedule, achieving the QCT targets through strong leadership and program management.Ability to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally within the Nissan organization Minimum Qualifications:BSEE/BSME Degree is requiredMinimum of 2 and up to 12 years of experience in automotive Design, Test, or Program Management.Strong program/project management skills and planning in the area of vehicle/component testing and/or development.Excellent oral and written communication skills w/Microsoft Project and MS Office experienceMust have program ownership mindset, cross-functional leadership and drive to meet program targets.Ability to travel to locations within the USCandidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident 9426262 Farmington Hills, MI, US Engineering Bachelors Degree Full Time, Temporary Experienced (Non-Manager) On-site Automotive and Parts Mfg First Shift (Day)
