Full Time/PRN: Full Time
8-5 Monday-Friday, No weekends, No nights, No call
• RN: Current Registered Nurse license issued by the Mississippi Board of Nursing.
• OR LPN: Current Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the Mississippi Board of Nursing.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working as an RN in a medical-surgical setting is required; relevant new graduates may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications• BLS certification required for LPN; BLS or ACLS preferred for RN.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Clinical Assessment: Assist with problem-focused skin assessments and document detailed patient histories in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Procedure Assistance: Assist physician with Mohs surgery, biopsies, excisions, and cosmetic treatments.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on skin health, treatment plans, and post-operative wound care.
- Direct Care: Administer injections, manage biologic medication authorizations, follow up on patient concerns and thoroughly document provider visits with patients.
- Coordination: Manage patient scheduling, follow-up results, and act as a liaison between the practice and pharmacy or insurance providers.
- Comprehensive knowledge of standard nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to make sound decisions based on clinical nursing judgment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively educate
patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. - Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently; >50 lbs with assistance/devices.
• Assist with patient repositioning and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
• Manual dexterity for clinical procedures and computer use; adequate vision, hearing, and speech.
