Assistant Branch Manager

Position Summary:Is responsible for the performance of the Loan Officers within the office, for assisting the Branch Manager in implementing policies and procedures, and for assuming the responsibilities of the Branch Manager in the manager’s absence. Cross sell credit union loan products and services to achieve established goals set by management.Duties and Responsibilities:Follow all credit union policies, procedures, and requirements in addition to all state and federal laws and regulations, including Regulation CC, the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP). Educate members on various credit union policies, procedures and related laws and regulations where applicable.Must be eligible to register and maintain active status with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry in accordance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (the “SAFE ACT”). Any discrepancies in the background check could include disciplinary action up to and including separation from employment.Perform the duties and responsibilities of a Loan Officer.Perform the duties of a teller, receptionist, or member service representative.Assist the Branch Manager with the oversight of the branch office operation.Cross sell credit union loan products and services to achieve established goals set by management.Assist in evaluating employee work performance.Assume the responsibilities of Branch Manager in the manager’s absence.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Functions:Strong background in the fundamental principles of lending, collections and member services.Demonstrated understanding of loan policies and procedures.Demonstrated understanding of credit union policies, procedures, products and services.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to use PC programs and hardware, especially MS Word and Excel.Ability to supervise and to solve problems.Extended sitting up to 80% of the timeLifting up to 20 pounds may be occasionally requiredBending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching above and below shoulder level may be occasionally requiredContinuous sound perception/discrimination and verbal speech ability is requiredIntermediate mathematical skills (calculations/concepts involving decimals and percentages)Occasional travel and Irregular hours are occasionally requiredMust be bondable.Education, Training and Experience:High school diploma or the equivalent.Experience in supervision, financial services and/or in customer service.At least 3 years prior experience preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr DEXSTA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION 2187
