Civil Litigation Paralegal

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to provide comprehensive support throughout all phases of the litigation process. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

Location: Dallas, TX Employment Type: Full-Time Work Arrangement: In-Office

Responsibilities
  • Conduct client interviews and assist with gathering case-related information.
  • Prepare initial drafts of pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Assist attorneys throughout all phases of civil litigation.
  • Maintain case files and manage case-related administrative tasks.
  • Calendar hearings, deadlines, depositions, mediations, and conferences.
  • Communicate with clients, medical providers, and other parties to obtain and verify case information.
  • Request, organize, and review medical records and follow up to ensure files are complete and accurate.
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
  • Prepare hearing, deposition, mediation, and trial notebooks and exhibits.
  • Assist with electronic filing in state and federal courts.
  • Manage multiple deadlines and case priorities efficiently.
  • Provide general administrative and litigation support as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys and other members of the legal team.
  • Occasionally work overtime when required by case deadlines or litigation schedules.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a litigation paralegal.
  • Working knowledge of civil litigation procedures, pleadings, motions, discovery, court rules, and legal documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with electronic filing in state and federal courts.
  • Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented approach to supporting attorneys and clients.
