A day in the life
At our Victoria, TX 77905 facility, you arrive to a prioritized queue of work orders. You prep tooling, load programs, set offsets, and run a first-article to verify dimensions with micrometers and calipers. Once parts are in cycle, you keep an eye on spindle load, surface finish, and dimensional checks—tweaking feeds, speeds, and tool wear offsets to hold spec. When an alarm pops or a tool starts to wander, you troubleshoot, correct, and get production flowing again. Throughout the shift, you record production and quality data, perform routine maintenance, and partner with teammates to refine setups and boost throughput—all while following strict safety protocols.
What you'll handle- Set up and operate CNC equipment to produce precise parts per specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on CNC machinery.
- Follow all safety procedures during machine setup and operation.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics and machine performance.
- Collaborate with the team to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent; CNC technical training/certification is a plus.
- Proven experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of CNC machinery and programming concepts.
- Ability to interpret prints and technical documentation.
- Keen attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Clear communicator and effective team collaborator.
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime when needed.
