RN - ICU

ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for critically ill patients in an intensive care setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical care nursing and a strong ability to work within a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU, including monitoring and managing a variety of complex medical conditions.
• Titrate drips and manage medications as per protocols.
• Interpret and analyze telemetry strips; ensure accurate documentation of patient status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Assist with equipment including ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP as needed.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 4
• Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 depending on acuity
• Common Patient Diagnoses: DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac issues, medical detox, and trauma patients.

Qualifications

• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS.
• Experience with trauma patient care is preferred; TNCC/TCAR certification is a plus.
• Ability to demonstrate coachability and motivation in a high-pressure environment.
• Team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills.

Shift Requirements

• Available for 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to float to Medical/Surgical or Emergency Department for one-on-one patient care if required.

Orientation

• Comprehensive orientation program consisting of 3 unit-specific shifts.

Additional Information

Successful candidates will show a commitment to patient safety and an ability to address unsafe situations proactively. The position entails working where there is a need within the unit.
