My family in Alameda, California is seeking a part-time elder care provider to work as a live-out companion and respite caregiver. Job description: taking my dad for walks on the beach and around the bird preserve. (He has dementia and aphasia so he will sometimes need to be redirected, or get frustrated with his inability to communicate. Helper must speak English and be respectful and patient). 2. Helping my parents with light errands, Internet tasks, scheduling appointments, dishwasher, laundry, dropping off mail, picking up from pharmacy, etc. 3. Occasional transportation to senior center, library, doctor office. Days are flexible, position is part time, 2-3 shifts per week, roughly 10AM-2PM--total 8-10 hours per week.
