Valley Blvd. Unit #100, San Gabriel, CA 91776 Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 / hour Description We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented, Chinese speaking professional to be the welcoming face of Astrana Health's Southern California Heart Center in San Gabriel, CA. Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls appropriately and taking accurate messages for providers and staff. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments while maintaining provider calendars. Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and eligibility, ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Collect co-pays, payments, and other patient financial responsibilities in accordance with office procedures. Provide accurate information to patients, visitors, pharmacies, and healthcare providers via phone, email, and in person. Submit treatment authorization and referral requests as needed. Prepare, organize, and maintain patient records and documentation for scheduled visits. Respond to patient, physician, and pharmacy inquiries and ensure timely follow-up. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area. Support office operations by performing clerical duties, including filing, scanning, photocopying, faxing, and document management. Follow office policies and procedures to maintain patient confidentiality, office security, and HIPAA compliance. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient daily operations. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Must be fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and/or Spanish. 1 year of Front Desk experience at an outpatient primary care or specialty clinic. High school diploma or GED required. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, providers, and staff. Experience managing a multi-line phone system, scheduling appointments, and coordinating front desk operations. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and maintaining accurate patient information. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Customer service-oriented with a professional and compassionate demeanor. Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions Our organization follows an in-person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a daily basis. The clinic is located at 506 W. Valley Blvd., Unit #100, San Gabriel, CA 91776. Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour.
