Respect everyone, all persons, and all the things created.Bravery: To do what is right, even in the most difficult of times.Honesty: Be honest in every action and provide good feelings in your heart.Wisdom: We cherish knowledge; wisdom is used for the good of the people.Humility: Know that you are equal to everyone else, no better, no less.In This Role:Perform a wide range of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, hot stone, prenatal, and aromatherapy massages.Tailor each massage to meet the individual needs and preferences of clients, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction and therapeutic benefit.Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their health history, needs, and goals.Create a welcoming and relaxing environment for clients from the moment they enter the spa.Ensure clients are comfortable throughout their session and address any concerns or special needs they may have.Provide post-massage advice and recommendations for at-home care to enhance the benefits of the session.Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the spa.Properly sanitize and maintain all massage tools and equipment according to state regulations and spa protocols.Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff.Work closely with other Team Member spa professionals to provide a seamless and holistic spa experience for guests.Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and collaborative events.Support other spa services and assist with maintaining smooth operations of the spa.Commit to ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest massage techniques and industry advancements.Attend workshops, certifications, and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.Stay informed about new products and services that can benefit clients.All other duties as assigned.Essential Qualifications:Must be 21+ years of age.High school diploma or GED equivalent required; formal massage school training preferred.Valid Massage Therapist license issued by the state of Michigan.Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Massage Therapist in a high-end spa or similar environment.Proficiency in a variety of massage techniques, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and creating a luxurious client experience.Physical Requirements:Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.Ability to perform massages for extended periods and handle the physical demands of the job.Ability to lift 50 lbs. with or without assistance.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.Must have the ability to access all properties and areas.Work Conditions:Work is typically in a spa treatment room. Work area may be warm, humid, or dark. Tasks may be required to be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area.
