Now Hiring - Assistant General Manager
Cynthia is looking for an Assistant General Manager to help lead floor operations, staff development, and nightly service execution at an exclusive, high-standards fine dining restaurant. You'll work side by side with ownership and our Executive Chef, with real influence over how our front of house runs and grows.
What you'll do
- Lead service as a senior floor presence, overseeing pacing, guest experience, and real-time problem-solving across a full house
- Support hiring, training, and ongoing development of the front-of-house team
- Own and refine SOPs, opener/closer duties, and staff training programs
- Step in for the General Manager on scheduling, staff coaching, and performance conversations
- Keep a nightly manager log and drive follow-through at team meetings
- Partner with the kitchen, maître d', and reservations team to keep every service seamless
What you bring
- 1–2+ years of management or assistant management experience in fine dining or an upscale, high-volume restaurant; Michelin-recognized experience a strong plus
- Instincts for reading a room and staying composed under service pressure
- Comfort giving direct, constructive feedback and holding a team to a high bar
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus
- Genuine interest in growing into a General Manager role over time
- Michelin-recognized, first-year acclaim from the Michelin Guide, The New Yorker, The New York Times, Food & Wine, and Eater
- High visibility and real influence — you'll work directly with ownership and senior leadership
- Structured training and a defined growth path into GM-level responsibility
