ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated ASL Paraprofessional to support a preschool student in an early childhood special education (ECSE) setting in the Springfield, Missouri area (Rogersville region) for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time role focuses on working 1:1 with a young student with a hearing impairment, supporting both spoken language and American Sign Language (ASL) communication.
Position Overview:- Full-time, school-based role (approximately 37 hours per week)
- On-site position within an ECSE / preschool classroom
- 1:1 support for a 4-year-old student
- Located in the greater Springfield metro area
- Collaborative and supportive school team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a preschool student with a hearing impairment
- Facilitate communication using both spoken language and ASL
- Support language development and classroom participation
- Assist with daily routines and transitions
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Promote a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with American Sign Language (ASL) required
- Previous experience working with children or in school settings preferred
- Experience in early childhood or special education strongly preferred
- Strong communication, patience, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a 1:1 support role
