Respiratory Therapist - Day Shift - Hawaii

Assignment Duration

This is a 15-week contract position.

Schedule

Day Shift, from 0630 to 1900, with three twelve-hour shifts weekly (36 hours). There is no guarantee of hours.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide continuous airway management, ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support, physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care. Candidates must be able to care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous airway management.
• Manage and support ventilator and non-invasive ventilator operations.
• Consult with physicians regarding patient care.
• Perform CPR and other emergency respiratory interventions.
• Utilize computerized charting and medication management systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. NRP preferred.
• Must have a State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapist license by the start of the assignment. Candidates without a current Hawaii license must have applied upon acceptance of the offer.
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception required before the contract start date.
