Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Avista Nursing and Rehab in Saginaw, Michigan. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional well-being of our patients by preparing and serving meals, snacks, and beverages in a safe and sanitary environment. This is a part-time position, ideal for individuals who are looking for a rewarding and flexible work opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages to patients and staff

• Maintain a clean and organized dietary area, including refrigerators, freezers, and food storage areas

• Assist in the planning and preparation of special diets and meals

• Ensure all food and beverages are stored, handled, and served in accordance with regulatory guidelines

• Monitor and maintain accurate records of food service operations

• Work collaboratively with the dietary team to ensure seamless meal service

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience in dietary or food service preferred

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for prolonged periods

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
