Be an Expert: Understand the processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise; prepare (trim, crisp, package, scale) products according to established standards; maintain product safety and follow company sanitation guidelines; and adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the area; use digital tools; use perpetual inventory management techniques to stock and rotate department products; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; guide peers and provide attention to customer needs; assist customers according to company policies and procedures. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience in the produce area and modeling high quality service and products; execute the basics at the highest possible level of quality; and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; and apply these in executing business processes and practices.
