Executive Administrative Assistant II

Executive Administrative Assistant II – Providing advanced administrative support to senior leadership of the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Key duties include proactive schedule management, coordination of high‑visibility meetings, preparation of polished executive documents, and tracking of major Bureau activities. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for an executive office. Liaise between the assigned executive office and other BEA program areas. Handle confidential and time‑sensitive material. Prepare and maintain a log of routine official correspondence. Schedule meetings and make associated arrangements (reserve rooms, escort visitors). Monitor and manage travel arrangements and travel‑related expenses. Provide backup support to the bureau FOIA Analyst. Serve as GovTA timekeeper (time and attendance) for direct‑hire employees. Qualifications Advanced Microsoft Office skills. A college degree and four (4) years of related work experience or a high school diploma and eight (8) years of related work experience. Prior experience at the Bureau of Economic Analysis, Department of Commerce, or a similar federal agency (preferred). Schedule and Hours Monday through Friday during normal business hours except federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government‑directed facility closings.
