Transformer Field Service Supervisor – Nationwide Travel
US-Based | Full-Time | Competitive Pay + Overtime + Benefits

MVA Services is looking for a skilled Transformer Field Service Supervisor who knows oil-filled transformers inside out, enjoys hands-on work, and has the confidence to lead a crew on challenging projects.

Although our headquarters is in Canton, Ohio, you can live anywhere in the United States, as this is a travel-based role working at customer sites nationwide.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead field crews during transformer assembly, installation, commissioning, and repairs.
- Carry out vacuum filling, oil processing, degassing, and re-gasketing.
- Perform electrical testing, including Doble, SFRA, CT, TTR, and insulation resistance testing.
- Read and interpret transformer drawings, blueprints, and nameplate data.
- Work with customers and project managers to keep projects running smoothly.
- Maintain high safety standards and ensure OSHA compliance.
What We're Looking For
- 5–7 years of hands-on transformer field service experience, including crew leadership.
- Strong experience with oil-filled transformers, oil processing, and repairs.
- Practical knowledge of transformer electrical testing.
- Confidence reading technical drawings and troubleshooting in the field.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel nationwide.
- Good communication skills and a safety-first approach.
- Highly desirable: Class A CDL, particularly for transporting company equipment.
- Experience with 765 kV transformers, energized hot-oil reclamation, LTC repairs, or crane operations would be an advantage.
- Forklift and manlift certifications can be provided.
