Utility Porter-Clubhouse

Position Utility Porter – Summit Club, Discovery Land Company, located at Summit Club (outside Las Vegas, NV). Responsibilities Heavy lifting to move banquet furniture, equipment, and supplies weighing 70–100 lbs. Set up and break down banquet rooms per BEO, spec sheet, or management instructions in a timely manner. Clean banquet/event/public areas, remove trash from tables, collect and transport used linen. Operate machinery such as auto scrubbers, burnishers, side‑by‑side equipment to maintain cleanliness of public areas. Assist with movement and arrangement of banquet furniture per banquet coordinators. Clean and maintain all banquet areas – floors, carpets, surfaces – including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning. Collaborate on special projects related to banquet setups, clubhouse/club tower suites, and other event‑related tasks. Monitor and restock supplies, linens, equipment to maintain adequate inventory. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling heavy objects. Work with the clubhouse residential services team and other departments to deliver excellent service and ensure event success. Provide friendly and helpful assistance to guests during events. Support flexible schedule, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Perform high dusting of ceilings, vents, wall decorations, and use proper techniques when moving heavy furniture. Use chemicals properly and dispose of them safely and conduct bi‑hazard clean‑up. Operate hand trucks and flatbed carts to move equipment. Qualifications Proven experience in professional cleaning or housekeeping, preferably in high‑end residential or hospitality settings. Excellent knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and hygiene best practices. Strong attention to detail and organizational/time‑management skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate within a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with residents, guests, and management. Flexibility to work non‑standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects, bend, and stand for extended periods. Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to the workplace. HS diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of prior utility porter or related experience preferred. Safety conscious when operating machinery and chemicals, promoting a team environment.
