Our expert team includes highly trained, board-certified surgeons and anesthesiologists, supported by a dedicated staff of registered nurses and other medical professionals—each playing a vital role in ensuring your safety, comfort, and care throughout your surgical experience. Our team's expertise spans general surgery and a wide range of surgical subspecialties, including trauma surgery, gynecologic surgery, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, and orthopedic surgery. Whether patients require elective procedures or emergency interventions, they benefit from the most advanced surgical techniques available—performed in our state-of-the-art facilities equipped with leading-edge technology. You Can Expect:

• Competitive compensation with sign on and goals based incentives
• Vacation: 5.5 weeks
• Schedule: In hospital 12 hr/shifts, 14 shifts/month
• Practice at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital, Level II Trauma Center with 358 licensed beds
• Dedicated team of 5 acute care surgeons, 11 general surgeons total
• ACS members - 80% bread and butter, 20% trauma (90% of trauma is blunt, 10% penetrating)

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of medical degree and residency training in general surgery.
• MD/DO with certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board in a physician's primary specialty. Must be board certified or in the process of certifying.
