Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (0700–1930) and Night Shift (1900–0730) available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 27-bed Telemetry unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, caring for patients with diagnoses including CHF, NSTEMI, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, CAD, renal failure, respiratory failure, and pneumothorax
• Monitor and document telemetry readings every 6 hours using current monitoring systems
• Manage post-cath lab patients, including experience with TR bands and femoral stops
• Administer and manage set-rate cardiac drips including diltiazem and amiodarone
• Perform NIH stroke assessments and provide chest tube care as required
• Float to like units, Med/Surg, and potentially ICU (if experienced) at additional facilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Telemetry RN
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Cardiac drip experience (set-rate administration)
• NIH stroke assessment experience
• Post-cath recovery and chest tube experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with TR bands and femoral stops following cath lab procedures
• Familiarity with SpaceLab or Philips monitoring systems
• ICU experience for potential float coverage
