Maintenance Assistant - Assisted Living Facility

Water's Edge of Lake Wales is seeking a dedicated and reliable Maintenance Assistant to join our team at our welcoming assisted living community. This full-time role offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility to ensure safety and functionality
• Conduct inspections of common areas, resident rooms, and outdoor spaces
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks to prolong the lifespan of equipment and facilities
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
• Assist with setup and breakdown for community events and activities
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility policies

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Flexibility to work some weekends as required
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
