About the Position

First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Weekend shifts are required every other week. Certifications in ACLS and BLS are necessary. Experience with a trauma level II facility is required. Travel experience is highly valued. Candidates must be open to floating between like units. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application. The facility guarantees hours but may call off once per two-week pay period. Patient ratios for days and weekends are set at 2:1. The unit treats a variety of patient diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, med-surg, and trauma patients. The hospital is a level II trauma center with additional services offered. Interdisciplinary support is available from various departments including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Special equipment used includes IABP and CRRT among others. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in managing ventilated patients, central line care, and arterial line management. The role entails involvement in post-surgical care and response to emergency situations. Expected responsibilities also include medication administration and monitoring of patient vitals. Excellent communication skills are essential for effective collaboration within the healthcare team. All team members are expected to adhere to infection prevention protocols. The candidate must be flexible and willing to support the needs of the unit.
